PE and Sport Premium Statement 2013-2014

We are delighted to be working with Carre’s Grammar School to increase the quality and breadth of our PE and Sport offer. Our Staff will be supported in developing their skills and knowledge via regular visits from PE specialists. The Premium will also allow for the provision of National Governing Body qualified coaches to visit our school and work with our staff and children.

The Outreach offer we have agreed with Carre’s Grammar School will pay particular focus to 4 areas:

High Quality PE

Competition

Health/Wellbeing

Community

Sports Premium Funding 2013-2014 = Fund total £8,890 

At this time it is anticipated that the funds will be used in the following way:

Carre’s Grammar school outreach programme will include team teaching of the following sports: TAG Rugby, Football, Invasion Games and Handball. There will also be support to develop Gifted and Talented performers and Key Stage 1 FUNdamental movement skills.                                                £1000

PE Advisor – to help develop whole school co-ordination of PE and sport and to help identify areas for development                                                                                                                                      £2000

Release time for PE Co-ordinator to work with PE Advisor and outside agencies to develop a new skills-based PE and Sport curriculum                                                                                                           £1000

Staff, training and equipment to improve activity levels during lunch and break times     £3000

Remaining funds will be used to increase the quality and breadth of our PE and Sport resources. More detail will follow for this area.
